1. What do you think the major differences between a hard news story and an opinions piece? Come up with at least three.

- the writer can write what they think
- the writer does not have to worry about over exaggerating
- opinions can be included, it doesn't always have to be just facts

There aren't many photos on this page because since the writing is opinionated, there shouldn't be examples of what the student is arguing about

3. What are three topics you think would be good to write an opinions piece on?

- using phones in class
- homework load
