1. A Miami Dolphin football player, named Richie Incognito, was just suspended this week from the team for allegedly bullying a teammate, named Jonathan Martin, so much that Martin walked out in the middle of the day just before practice and has not returned to the team. Feedback from the league has been mixed. Some former players say that this kind of thing should never happened and that the severity of the bullying went way over the line, while others say that Martin needed to deal with the situation behind closed door and that he is a "sissy" and a "tattletale". Do you think that professional football players should be held do a different standard when it comes to these types of incidents because its a "Mans" sport or not? WHY? (MAKE SURE TO ANSWER WHY?) Do you think that Incognito should be allowed to play again? WHY? Do you think the other Dolphin players will welcome Martin back to the team with open arms? WHY?

I don't think that it is right for anyone to be bullied at all. I think especially since these people were on a 

team, they need to learn to respect one another. I don't think it being a Man's sport has anything to do with

it at all. i think that the bullying should stop. Now, I don't know if the team will welcome Martin again because he seemed to have treated the whole situation a little bit sensitively. Now, if he was being bullied to an extreme, I would understand, but his teammates, I'm not sure about them. 

SOCIAL MEDIA

Social media has taken an ugly turn over the past few years. Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, all these social medias have captivated people’s everyday lives. Everyday, people wake up and check some sort of media, just in case they have missed something the night before. It must be admitted though, social media is very, very addicting. Anyone can become addicted. The need to be heard and to see what others are doing in their lives is remarkable. People are braver on social medias, saying what they want to say whenever they want to say it no matter what. Many people’s lives have been affected because of this. Young teens have committed suicide, due to bullying and harassment on some form of social media. People feel like they have power behind a screen. It is like a mask to them. As long as you have that protective barrier, no one can stand in their way. People feel like they have freedom on social medias to, and post whatever it is they want. People tend to forget to think before they post something. For example, when someone is angry at another person but doesn’t want to talk face to face, people tend to blow up on that other person’s account on some social media that they have.

Or, people don’t think about how some picture or comment may affect their future. Normally, before hiring someone to work, bosses check up on that persons Internet life. What they have said or taken pictures of, can be seen from anyone and everyone, including the people who might hire them. Even if it was something someone posted years ago, it can still be seen. Or maybe even if it was thought to be erased or deleted, the post may still be there. Once something is out on the Internet, even if deleted seconds later, has been seen. There is no going back. Social media has caused many problems, especially with people making dumb decisions. People shouldn’t post things that are so private, they wouldn’t want a future employer to know about.

Today, many parents have complained about how social medias are practically taking over their children’s lives. And to be honest, it really is true. Teens now want to experience new things, but also want EVERYONE to know about what is going on in their lives. Everyone should see every moment of each day. Even if it’s something so silly people wonder why they would even post something so lame. It also seems that social medias are some form of competition. Like with Instagram. The amount of followers you have may show how popular or well liked you are. The amount of likes that someone gets on a photo also determines popularity. People feel honored to follow a popular person and want as many followers as possible as soon as possible. Though it should not be a competition, in reality, if you don’t have a thousand followers, you aren’t considered to be liked or popular.
