In the early 1900s, there was a wonderful ship built called the Titanic. Many people went on it and were enjoying the wonderful and fancy ride, when it hit an ice burg, and slowly sank to it's death, killing over 1,500 people.
I think this is one of the most interesting events in the 1900s because many people were affected and still are affected today. It was a surprising event that shocked everyone that the "unsinkable"ship sank. Even today, while we think of making another replica of the Titanic, people are still hesitant even so many years later.
